New Benefit for Retirees in Buenos Aires Subte

Millions of people use the SUBTE daily to move around the City of Buenos Aires, making it a very popular transportation option. Among them are retirees and pensioners, who are now benefiting from a new measure. There are a total of seven lines covering the metropolis, shortening distances more quickly than other means such as the bus or train.

One of the main questions that arise among users is which group of retirees can access the pass and how to carry out the procedure. It is essential that the SUBE card is registered in the name of the holder to access this benefit, which includes retirees, pensioners, and retired members of the Armed Forces and Security who receive a monthly salary up to 10% above the current minimum.

The SUBTE is one of the most used means of transportation in the City of Buenos Aires. The pass is for the exclusive use of the holder, and its use by another person carries sanctions from the company. To carry out the procedure, it is necessary to register on the EMOVA website, the company that operates the SUBTES.

The documentation required to access the benefit includes the updated National Identity Document on both sides and the last salary receipt issued by the bank's ATM. The pass is valid for one year and can be renewed through the EMOVA website.

In case of misuse of the pass, it will be suspended. The first time involves a suspension of six months, and in case of recurrence, the suspension extends to one year. The previous time restriction for retirees and pensioners has been eliminated, with the aim of standardizing the benefit with those granted in other means of public transport in the same geographical area.
